The Butler Hockey Association has a rich tradition of High School ice hockey excellence.  Currently, the Butler Hockey Association has teams at the Junior Varsity and Freshman levels.  Players live within the Butler Area School District in Butler, Pennsylvania and play in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL). Our home rink is Ice Connection of Pittsburgh in Valencia, PA. 

Our season runs from October through March, with PIHL playoffs in March.  We start team practice in late August, but also run skating sessions through the summer.

2008-2009 Season

Our game rosters are full for the 2008-2009 season.  However, if you are interested in playing ice hockey we do have room on our practice squad. Please note that in order to participate on the practice squad you must have full ice hockey equipment.  If you are interested in joining our practice squad, please contact one of our board members.

Tryouts for the 2009-2010 Season

Students in grade 6 through 12 are eligible to play.  Tryouts for the 2009-2010 season will be in the spring of 2009.  Please check back later in the season for these dates.

Player Eligibility

Varsity: Players in 9th through 12th grade.

Junior Varsity: Players in 8th through 12th grade.

Freshman: Players in 6th through 9th grade.
