The Butler Hockey Association has a rich tradition of High School ice hockey excellence.  Currently, the Butler Hockey Association has teams at the Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshman levels.  Players live within the Butler Area School District in Butler, Pennsylvania and play in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL). Our home rink is Ice Connection of Pittsburgh in Valencia, PA. 

Our season runs from October through March, with PIHL playoffs in March.  We start team practice in late August, but also run skating sessions through the summer.

2010-2011 Season

Tryout and team assignments have been completed for the 2010-2011 season. However, if you are interested in playing ice hockey on our practice squad or in a developmental program, please contact one of our board members. Please note that in order to participate on any level, you must have full ice hockey equipment.

Tryouts 

Students in grade 6 through 12 are eligible to play.  Tryouts for each Fall/Winter season are held in the spring of each year.  Please check back later in the season for these dates.

Player Eligibility

Varsity: Players in 9th through 12th grade.

Junior Varsity: Players in 8th through 12th grade.

Freshman: Players in 6th through 9th grade.
